It’s mainly that he is never made in a pony style. basically, you’re getting “too high grade” of artists to art him.
Get a couple screencaps of fizzle and garble and make it so that he doesn’t look like he’s from a different franchise when he’s set next to them.
Read the description. And check the tag. Was always supposed to be drawn like this https://derpibooru.org/1039675?scope=scpea38c884e765f60be25c3db6f702e8c89dce1b2a4 but every artist until that one just kept drawing him more and more anthro.
