A person gets her hands on a time machine and uses it to solve all of her problems, but since she does not actually stop aging while she travels, she starts getting older and older looking compared to her friends/class-and work mates the more successful she makes herself. Finally, she reaches a crowning achievent - say, a date with a crush above her league. At this point the MC is only 30 but looks like she’s 70. She manages to set up the date, despite the apparent difference in age, with the help of time travel. During the date she keeps jumping back in time to make sure everything is perfect, and to fix any mistakes she’d make. Her body continues to deteriorate during the date and after waving her date goodbye and jumping back to rewatch the night as a spectator one last time, she crumbles into dust.

The wasteland timeline, her realising her mistakes, and her guilt for all the bad things she’s done has made her all stressed out and she has also not gotten a good amount of sleep. Maybe some hugs would help.
