I’m really happy that despite how the character of Flash Sentry is treated (and unjustly as I might add), Vincent is not discouraged from the reception, and continues on voicing the character wherever he may show up. Vincent Tong is very strong and persevering and he even takes Flash Sentry with positivity. I have strong respect for that and I wish he could get more voice roles in the future life of his career.

I think that’s more of a case of you not looking in the right places. Most of the interviews I’ve seen with Vincent are neutral to positive on Flash.

The difference is you’re supposed to hate those guys, so the more people hate them the more he can be sure he’s doing his job right. If people don’t like Flash despite how he was meant to be a sympathetic character, an actor might wonder if they couldn’t have done a better job portraying them and improved their reception.
 
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone discuss Flash’s voice acting in a positive or negative way.

This was done in good fun, since the artist of this image is a fan of Flash, and Vincent Tong has praised this exact drawing. Despite the loudest detractors, Flash has a sizable, genuine fanbase and most people are more neutral to him than anything. Similarly, Tong is well liked too, although the main voice actors do have the lions share of attention.

How horrible this must be for Vincent Tong. Even today, all that most of the fandom can relate to him is the hate for Flash Sentry. Even when it comes to thanking him for something nice, still all that Bronies can think of is how to make the hate more creative
