(Emerald Jewel is from the East, in the middle kingdom.)
 
The colt sneaks over to where the conversation is, but he probably needn’t have bothered. The scene is big enough that it’s attracting the attention of everyone around it. In the middle of the encampment there is a platoon of heavily armed, heavily armored ponies arguing with a robed pony, who you realize quickly is Hope Blossoms.
 
Emerald Jewel’s heart sinks. he recognizes the banner that the arguing pony is carrying. It’s his family’s crest. Emerald listens to their conversation with rapt attention.
 
“~~only child we’ve found so far is from Trotton. He couldn’t possibly be the one you are looking for!”, Hope pleads.
 
“We have two of the rescue workers as well as the cook confirming they saw a small colt with green mane and fur led into this camp by you. Now tell us where he is.”
 
Hope is very clearly scared, but she stays silent.
 
“If you will not tell us where he is we’ll just find him ourselves.” The armored pony says. He then turns to his compatriots and says, “Make a perimeter and search the camp!”
