It was during the time when I still didn’t understand how does defeating the leader of a group automatically makes you win a huge battle, especially if all enemies are just as capable as the leader. The only way that makes sense to me is if the leader was absurdly more powerful than the weaker soldiers and without them their overall strength should dimenish greatly.
I’ve learned from the many bronies that made their replied to it back in ponibooru that it was due to the combination of lack of coordination and imitidation of their leader’s defeat that the other side has a greater chance of winning. Though in this situation, if our heores did manage to beat Chrysalis here and there, would it really change the tide of battle so quickly?
Short end- Yes. Taking out the leader really did do a lot under those rules. It wasn’t a certain victory, but it wasn’t far off.
Eh.. I was talking about this trope in general really.
@sixtyfour
Yeah but what if the changelings really do agree with Chrysalis.
@Trick
Makes sense and pretty logical. Looks they were all luck that the shield work the way it did.
@Impious
I don’t think the changelings will quit trying to do what they want to do since they really need that “food” since they were waiting for a long time.
@NightJack
I totally forgot about Morale, which is another thing that everyone at Ponibooru kept telling me.
I was getting more of a hive mind vibe from them, but logic would indicate disguising themselves as others to feed on love would require a degree of independent operation.
