Looking at this pic gave me an idea. Specifically, the tail.
 
Assuming at least some of the magic that made Midnight went back to its source (the portal seems to have, for example) what if her thoughts might’ve affected the form it took? Specifically, what if she was really horny when the magic left her?
 
And that’s why the Rainbooms added a YEAAAAAAARG! to their next song. Because the “tails” became a bit more… well-placed, and how they were attached was a bit surprising.
 
Of course, it was even more awkward when they did it the next time and they found out the tails would displace anything already occupying their spot… and almost all of them had something fall out of their skirts and hit the ground. The volume of Rainbow’s was… well. Surprising?
