That being said, using a Kerbal’s jetpack is a viable way to escape the Münar surface, however, you can only achieve orbit if you have infinite fuel (ctrl+shift+alt+D)

Considering Newton’s Laws and conservation of energy and that the moon has no air. Theoretically, if you dropped down the hole from the surface, then you wouldn’t reach any further than the surface of the other side before falling back through again.
