I’ll get pissed if a character that I like dies, but aside from that it’s pretty “whatever” to me. Death happens, yo.
Example: I read “The Walking Dead” a lot. Being the violent product that it is, I just sort of expect brutal death to occur every other page.
In all seriousness, I actually do care about fictional characters, and it makes me angry when they’re subjected to needlessly cruel deaths and worse fates just for drama.
