What I’m reading from this is that Coco wants to be with her husbando because she doesn’t want to be alone, not because she actually likes him.
 
Frankly, the more extreme the artist draws the jackass’s actions in these strips, the more of a good ending the “I want to break up” portion of things is.
 
I think this is something that a lot of people miss when they read these, so I’ll say that again: The worse things get, the better the ending is.
 
It’s like how I can take fiction from warhammer 40k and find it encouraging and uplifting. No matter how bad real life gets, it can never possibly be this bad, so it gave me some perspective and some more reason to be hopeful when real life seemed to be universally terrible. I also find lovecraftian cosmic horror stories to be uplifting and encouraging, though for slightly different reasons.
 
There’s almost never a wholly terrible story or setting, since there are always going to be very prominent positive points. I’m not even looking all that hard for them, and I was able to hold on to these things even when I was going through some stuff and things seemed awful.

BP, the thing you have to remember is that those reactions are often knee-jerk reactions. It’s a rare day when someone makes a threat on the internet and actually means it. Keep that in mind.

And some people enjoy movies that have horror elements, and movies where people shoot guns, make loud noises, kill people, and sometimes are killed.
 
There’s no good reason for a person to limit themselves to only a very narrow slice of the possibilities in all of human imagination.
 
Why do people (several, usually) proclaim death threats or torture threats on someone for writing a comic wherein a fictional character is the subject of mean behaviour? This is an absurd, dangerous overreaction, and I think they probably need to be looked at.
