I’m less fond of the SUAP side of this whole shitstorm.

Everyone can draw art as bad as they please. Everyone else can critique the art if it was posted in public.
 
Jay acted like a typical lolcow, overreacting to a reasonable critique, encouraging the haters to go for him. Also he had ridiculous prices for commissions and was constantly whoring for money.
 
The fact that he had his tumblr closed in a completely different issue and has due to him drawing foalcon.

I won’t say that there is a RIGHT way to do art. I know that I enjoy some kinds of art, that others don’t. But some stuff is just poor quality, and while I probably won’t like it, I won’t tell you that you can’t. Some stuff just looks crappy or at least unproffessional no matter who you ask.

That really is kinda unfair.
 
But he had a lot of attention, good and bad, so it’s not hard to expect something like that would happen to him first.
 
I really dislike any kind of pedo depiction, so if they follow this example and begin taking other stuff down it’s cool with me.But hey, that’s my opinion.

Background Pony your logic makes no sense, more appropriately if there is no right way there is no wrong way because wrong implies fault while right denies it, which is to say if we accept nothing as being right, then we have no scale as far as what constituts a fault or how many/great of fault results in failure.
 
art in its many forms is a little odd in that though difference and variety in expression means that short of mimicking a particular artist or groups style there is no right way to do it. but it’s still possible to do it wrong. there is still room to purposefully break the rules with intent or reason, but there must be a reason for it, and though ‘style’ is a reason, it’s one of if not the poorest reasons. in the same leauge as saying a person has their foot bent at a 90 degree angle because there was not enough room to draw at an angle that didn’t look broken.
 
oh and though it’s hardly a golden book of rules, go read up on design, picture composition, color theory and proportion, and explain to me why that picture is good after said reading.

I am fine with some people hating him and disliking his work.
 
People going after his work for it though is just sad.

I know of plenty of tumblrs with foalcon on pedopony stuff on it that are still active an I’m willing to bet there have been complaints.
 
A lot of people didn’t like Jay and I am willing to bet that, that is what him banned in the end and that is terrible.

@ALIS People considered some of his work child porn, huge sites like tumblr would never allow child porn so…ban.

Logically if there is no right way then everything is wrong. If everything is wrong then nothing is wrong. In the end only subjective opinions exist.

your right there is no such thing, but just because there is no ‘right’ way to do it, doesn’t mean there isn’t a wrong way to do it. though anatomy in art is not an absolute due to stylization (otherwise we would live in a world of realism as the only style which is terrible) porpotion is much much closer to such a status and if you look at the picture in Battle GT’s post you can see that LMJs version is insanely disproportional to even itself, after all the front legs must be at least half as long as the rear legs give or take and thats just the most glaring issue the head also seems to lack ‘substance making it look ‘flat’ for lack of a better word. to be honest those are the only things i see and i don’t know if such problems are indicitve of LMJ’s body of work (from what i’ve seen possibly though ive never seen an example even remotely as glaring as this)
 
also just remember just because there is no right way does not mean there isn’t a wrong way

That is a petty reaction, I don’t particularly like your attitude but I sure as hell would not like your work which some people might enjoy getting canned from a site because of it.

My reaction has nothing to do with his art. It all has to do with his conduct which has been reprehensible at times.

Yes, he might have done the pic differently from the scrap, and yes, it might seem “wrong”, but then again no one is forced to do anatomy the way you like. You say it is wrong because it doesnt look good TO YOUR EYES. Jay is a good artist, so maybe he sees anatomy in a different way than you.

I like both pictures and yes I see the differences between them. Even if I didn’t like one I would not want it censored or be happy if it was removed.

I am not stating an opinion as a fact I am stating facts. Proper anatomy is not arbitrary end of story.

Complaining as in what? Their is someone with a gun to your head making you look at the guys art. I wasn’t a fan per say of Lil Miss Jays stuff but I sure would not want someone to destroy things others created and others enjoy who are not me.
 
I’ll decide what I like and don’t just find without censorship, removing an off policy image and giving a stern warning is one thing, removing a ton of art that people like and want to see however is just sad.
 
Lots of artist I dislike in this fandom, I would never be happy about them being driven out by loud mouths that can not help but harass something they dislike instead of ignoring it.

Sorry, i am an artist too so i kinda have feels for what people say about him and his anatomy. I went through the same.
