I think OP’s just trying to be edgy.
That’s “teetering on the edge of ruin” doomed. I was talking about the “there’s no fixing this one,” “run or die” kind of doomed. Less Israel, more Pompeii.
Eh, the Crystal Empire is doomed every season, they’re basically the Israel of Equestria. Just send the Mane Six or Spike, I’m sure they’ll sort it put again.

I think this is the same BGP that keeps making those “Edgy” abuse pictures that don’t make much sense, so I don’t think there’s any point in trying to bring logic into this.
The only thing Sunburst is accused of is being a poor plot device.

They probably will when Starlight pulls a Freeza and tries to stab Twilight in the back again.
The writers should’ve listened to Faust when it came to Glimmer.
Then it’ll probably devolve into another branch of the Time War which the Doctor will need to sort out, and in her anger and grief Starlight will either find true redemption or affirm what Faust said about some people being too poisonous and wicked to be friends with.
Then again, it might have the opposite effect and she might go back to being evil. Not that she ever truly stopped being evil, of course. xP
True, but she might reincarnate and cause problems all over again with her soul’s will. This way, any hope for the future she might have will be shattered and her spirit and soul will quietly whither away until she can be safely contained.

Oh definitely! Although I can imagine them also thinking Starlight might actually be a useful force for justice due to her obvious magical talents in her Evil timeline, whereas Sunburst causes nothing but trouble and contributes nothing notable to any timeline. Plus, nonexistence is too kind for a monster like Starlight.
Honestly, I think it’d be better if they just went back in time and prevented Glimmer from ever existing in the first place.
The basic gist of it is that these beings - my best guess is either the Tree of Harmony or the Gallineighyans keeping an eye on Doctor Whooves - are well aware of the power possessed by Twilight Sparkle, as well as her otherwise benevolent nature, and as a consequence do not want to tread on the territory of who she forgives. Nevertheless, as more objective beings, they know Starlight must be punished to make it clear to her any other such actions will not be tolerated. And as all of these problems began with Sunburst, they have decided to use him as Starlight’s punishment proxy, to properly mete out justice against her and break her will enough to neuter her as a threat without infringing on Twilight’s sovereignty.
