I think you’re right, it’s been years since I played so I don’t exactly remember. I do remember though there was a curfew after 11PM and whenever you got caught by a teacher, you had mow the grounds, which I did a lot :P
I think it was the middle of the grounds that was the trouble area. If I remember correctly, there’s a crossroads in the middle, as you’re heading towards the sports fields.
If you cross that point, the camera snatches 180 degrees, and you end up running the opposite way.
Which is annoying when you’re trying to avoid a prefect.
I have that game! I enjoyed it, but yeah the controls were in a bit balls in some areas, especially considering it’s made by the same folks who made GTA. Never had an issue with the camera though.
Think the first game I ever completed was one of the Spongebob ones on PS2.
Stupid thing is, I never upgraded after the PS2. Not least of which because my missus likes to hog the TV, so I can’t play on the games until she goes to bed.
She’s mad on ‘The Bully’, also known as ‘Canis Canim Edit’.
She’s completed that game. I could never get in to it, mainly because of the way the camera angle snatches around at some points, also reversing the controls. Made it seem a bit unplayable to me. Trying to run away from a prefect and end up running straight in to them.
I like shoot em ups. I play a game called Resogun on the PS4 which is one and I found it very addicting, I do need to play more of the genre :P
I’m not familiar with strategy games myself, although I did like Civilisation when I played it once on the Xbox 360. My favourite genre by far is platformers though, personal favourite being Crash 2.
Fair enough. I was a big fan of the ‘Shining Force’ megadrive/genesis games as well.
As for other games, I do like shoot-em-ups from time to time, (And was pretty good at them at one time too).
I also got hooked on the Command & Conquer series, although I tend to go back to ‘Red Alert’ (the first one) more often than not on the PC. Playing skirmish.
Ah yeah I’ve heard of that. Not a fan of RPGs though (not my cup of tea :P), but the PS1 is probably one of the best consoles when it comes to the selection.
I know, and I STILL go back to the games occasionally.
One in particular.
Grandia.
If you liked Studio Ghibli stuff (primarily Nausicaa and Laputa), then you really should check this out.
Graphics are very dated now (the FMV sequences look like the in game PS2 graphics), but the story’s awesome.
I don’t feel old, I’m still young by a lot of people’s standards :P And speaking of the PS1, that had only 1MB in its memory cards…xD
Thanks for the advice! That’s a nice drawing of Aria. Don’t worry, I won’t. I saw one of his NSFW videos a while ago and that told me all I needed to know about staying away from his NSFW art.
Well, the PS1 actually came out the year I left school, so I wouldn’t worry about feeling like you’re old here.
I remember hearing about a (fake) 64MB PS2 memory card when I was about eight and thought it was huge. 13 years later and that’s basically nothing now :P
I wouldn’t try to corrupt anyone really.
That one I linked to was probably as suggestive as I dare go linking to. (And believe me I’ve seen FAR worse).
Also, I’ve seen sketches by NSFW artists that are perfectly safe, if a bit…
For BDD, don’t go hunting through this artist’s other uploads without your censoring on, there’s some great art, but a lot of questionable, and worse.
That said, these NSFW artists are used to getting the body shape right. You can see here that Aria has been outlined unclothed, then the clothes have been added afterwards.
Produces a more accurate shape.
Saying these days?
Nah, that alone doesn’t make you come across as old.
Admitting the fact I remember the computer room at school being full of Amstrad word processor things with green screens however….
And the kids bragging that the main hub computer had nearly a full gigabyte of memory….
And the fact when I was in secondary school, the internet was all but unheard of…
I’ll stick with my Equestrian Magic. Such a weapon is far too dangerous for innocent butterflies like me.
You have your equestrain magic, I have my human magic chunk-clack. And yes, it’s dangerous, I keep getting the web of my thumb caught in the breach when I close it (ouch)
I knew you’d believe me! Innocent is my middle name. BlazingDazzlingInnocentDusk.
What’s a shot-gun? It sounds dangerous. I’m so glad you’re not planning to use it against me.
I’ll just
renewcancel that subscription to my most favourite magazine! This is totally believable and I certainly feel I have no reason to keep my shotgun loaded and within arms reach at all times, or to be counterplanning to ensure world domination is out of your scheming reach.
You could say MLP is “mane” stream after all the documentaries and exposure it has. Also, it is appealing to all age groups and different types of people.
It’s true, I am nothing but an innocent butterfly. I’d never even dream of hurting anyone. Quickly throws a copy of Schemers Weekly magazine off a cliff World domination? I’ve never heard of such a thing.
These days1 any media that gains enough fans will have fan art and fanfics, but each fandom will create differently, and the MLP fandom creates more visual2 art than other fandoms.
*1 I said ‘these days’ does that make me old?
*2 Drawings, paintings, photoshop originals and so on.
@40kponyguy
How could you attempt to corrupt the innocent BDD like that!? You heathen! BDD is an innocent butterfly who would never attempt to take over the world!
Yeah, I agree on that one. This group has been great for inspiration and laughs!
That’s awesome! Hopefully they’ll join in. I’ll go and have at some more of their art.
It’s possible to run in to a dry patch with ideas though. That’s why I helped draw this group together here. It’s been great for inspiration.
Been chatting with “Roygbivthepony” again. She (? Don’t know for sure, but first two uploads were Luna cosplays), hasn’t joined in yet though.
*Impossible to run out of ideas for art.
I don’t think so. After all, there’s so many possibilities with MLP, there are so many different generations and so many characters to create art of that it’s possible to create art of.
I definitely think the capacity of its fanbase is up there with Star Wars.
I really believe the biggest impact this series has had is the art. There’s tons of it!
There’s conventions, cosplays and animated stuff, but it’s about on par with things like the fandoms of Star Trek, Star Wars and Doctor Who.
Has any other fandom produced quite so much art though?
