I think she associated My Little Pony with Transformers and assumed that because the Transformers movies are live action, a My Little Pony movie would be live action too.

Most people don’t understand that distinction or realize that there are arguably worst things in the franchise then the bad movies that somehow rakes in billions of dollars.
 
Really I’d imagine a live action MLP movie would be more like The Smurfs movies (which I’ve never seen) what where ponies are brought to the modern really world but unlike EQGs they’re still ponies.

The CEO they spoke to mentioned that it was a movie distributed by Lionsgate, and both videos mentioned that movie would come out in 2017, which was specifically stated to be animated.
 
I admit I jumped the gun and didn’t watch the second video until after my first comment, but that has to be the movie they’re talking about.

Well, that wouldn’t be too bad, since the live action Transformers was it’s own thing, unrelated to any of the cartoons before or after it. Which would mean if they DID do a live action film like Transformers, it’d be unrelated to FiM.
