So, Silver Spoon and Sweetie Belle hanging out together. Where should I begin with this?
How about I tell you what- or rather, who- I was inspired by. I was inspired by this awesome lady-
She has a series called ‘Junior Gala’, which is (I guess?) an AU featuring the teenaged Cutie Mark Crusaders, their friends Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Twist and Truffle Shuffle (a background earth pony colt), and their bully, Babs Seed. Junior Gala seems to be most well known for its unique pairings. Among those are parkour punk-pony Scootaloo and silent metal-pony gentlecolt Truffle Shuffle, sickly yet cheerful Twist and foulmouthed bully Babs Seed (on a side note, Twabs is the best shipping name ever), and the pairing that inspired me to draw this pic, former bully turned shy and sensitive Silver Spoon and equally as sensitive but much more cheerful Sweetie Belle.
Now, this picture technically isn’t part of her universe, just a little something that was inspired by the SilverBelle pairing. Also, I personally see this pic more as friendshipping than actual shipping, but you can view it however you like.
Now to my second point, Silver Spoon herself. Silver Spoon, I believe, is one of the most interesting characters in MLP. Okay, on the surface she is just a follower to the bigger and badder bully Diamond Tiara. However, if we look deeper into this, Silver Spoon might not be so bad. She attempted to comfort Diamond Tiara after the CMC upstaged her party, she was the first to clap for Granny Smith’s story and even sided with Apple Bloom when she said that Diamond’s family wouldn’t be rich without her, and when you think about it, we’ve never seen her bully the CMC on her own. Diamond Tiara has, but never Silver Spoon. It raises a few theories on if Silver Spoon actually is a good pony and, if she is, why she hangs around with Diamond Tiara. And what does Diamond Tiara think of all this? Does she see Silver Spoon as a friend or a lackey? These two are commonly seen as one-dimensional characters that are just used as obstacles for the CMC to overcome, but they are actually very interesting if you took some time to analyze their actions.
I’m getting off topic, though. Point is, I feel like Silver Spoon would be a better pony if she didn’t hang around with Diamond Tiara. There is a common theory that, sometime before the end of the series, Silver Spoon would leave Diamond Tiara and apologize to the CMC for everything she said while with Tiara. Personally, I think that’s a very possible outcome. And, should she atone for her actions and become friends with the CMC, I feel like Sweetie Belle would be the one to accept her apologies and forgive her first. Hence the story of this picture, where the two of them are hanging out together as friends.
Sweetie Belle wanted to try on Silver Spoon’s glasses and necklace, and she claims that they look better on her. An annoyed Silver Spoon begs to differ.

EDIT (2-21-16): Well, looks like I was wrong about Silver leaving Diamond. But hey, I don’t mind one bit! What we got instead was even better! Oh, and also… tablet remake! Hopefully it looks a bit better now. I had to delete the old one and upload this new version. It wouldn’t let me change the image for some reason…
