If i had to guess i’d say it’s a mix between the culture you grow up in and personal experience.

Yeah, I should have phrased that better. I wasn’t trying to say “maybe fetishes are a thing,” just that I don’t know why/how a fetish develops beyond what I mentioned before.

If I remember correctly, a lot of things people are attracted to tend to go back to a basic, caveman-era goal of survival and/or reproduction. Following that logic, a heavier woman’s more pronounced proportions suggest that she is more capable of having/taking care of children, and extra weight means she’s less likely to starve during periods where you have little success hunting and/or gathering food.
 
Also, in some cultures, weight is attractive because it suggests that you never have to worry about food, and therefore are probably wealthy.
 
Now, I’m not sure why either of those would make a 600 pound woman attractive, considering how disabling that much weight would be in real life. Maybe some people’s instinctive/cultural tendencies are just exaggerated to the point of absurdity, for some reason?

I never understood the “fat” fetish. As a well-built person, no one acts like this at all. Even if genetic, it’s still shunned. But I guess something is beautiful about a pregnant woman’s stomach, which I guess plays in favor in women, but doesn’t explain it going as far as a fetish. Am I overthinking sexuality or is the human mind just fucked up?
