Hmmm, never seen glimmer much in stores in my area. Was debating on buying one at Walmart but decided not to. Maybe if funko has plans, then maybe.

Given how the show reacts to characters most of the fandom deems scrappy’s, I don’t see it as much of a stretch. Remember how negatively received Gilda was in “Griffin the Brush Off” and it took four more seasons for her to make another appearance? And of course it seems like Babs got the same treatment since she has not made a full speaking appearance since “Apple Family Reunion”. Lastly it would appear that thanks to the sizable backlash they received, Snips and Snails haven’t made any speaking appearances since “Flight To The Finish”, despite being arguably the most prominent colts in the series.

At least If they do by chance continue to screw up royal with her character and if the fandom backlash is large enough, than it’s likely she will wind up permanently put on a bus or at least be given a miniscule role from there on out. Remember what happened with Flash Sentry after the first EG film?

I wanted to warn you/give you a heads up that Starlight Glimmer is gonna be in the premiere. Its old info by now, sorry about that.
 
If there is ever an alternate take on the series, maybe it’ll be one where Trixie stays relevant, we spend an episode or two learning about changelings, and Discord’s statue explodes at the end of The Return of Harmony part 2.

I just realized she still has her old mane on the packaging. I wonder if that means the do she’s sporting in the premiere is only temporary.

Her cutie mark. The star dust trail used to have generic stars and then it was strangely changed to Twilight’s six pointed star. If cutie marks are supposed to denote destinies and specific images imply specific ideas or relationships then it always bothered me they chose to alter the cutie mark. Like, for what reason? Were generic dots too hard to recreate? Was there a story related reason her cutie mark changed but they jettisoned it along with Trixie? It just bugs me is all.
