I thought it would make more sence to put the ass in the hole this time.  
As for why Sunburst is dizzy, he fell in the hole and hit his head I guess.

You say this like she had no hand in any of this. You fall and pick yourself up. It is the very definition of growing up. There is a reason she didn’t have any friends: she didn’t make any. She did nothing to make her situation better. Instead, all of her efforts went into ensuring nobody else got ahead, so she could feel better about herself. If this is not childish behavior to you, especially the part about doing nothing to better one’s own situation, I am going to have to assume you are a child yourself.  
Adults look within themselves and search in themselves for answers, before they look to others. Adults do not try to change the people around them to fit their strictly personal needs. Adults pursue what is important to them, rather than sit and wait and mope until it is handed to them.  
There are a lot of overgrown children in the world…

But again, Apple Bloom had friends to help support her through the tough times. Starlight had no one.
 
And yes, I get that you think her reaction was childish. I disagree, for the reasons I’ve already stated, but also because she didn’t really sit around whining for someone to fix her problem. She took a course of action, wrongheaded though it may have been, to try and fix it herself, and only escalated when her dream was taken away.
 
Still, given that everything about her youth (aside from the one scene we saw) is a mystery, both of our opinions on this are going to be a bit speculative. Hopefully we’ll get more information when the new season starts up that will help put these issues to rest.

A lot of adults don’t grow up. Having physically matured doesn’t mean their actions aren’t childish. It just means they are children trapped in the bodies of adults. I see it all the time; “Wah, wah, wah, me, me, me! Somebody but me fix this! This is bad for me and only me!”  
The way Starlight handled the entire situation was infinitely more immature than the way Apple Bloom handled basically the same situation.

That’s a fair point. Personally I think there are workarounds to this problem. She could have, for instance, been afraid to ask for fear that she would find out that he didn’t miss her at all. Or, if she was sufficiently upset, she may have come to view his leaving as a betrayal and eventually blamed him for it, despite him not being the one responsible (she was a little kid at the time, after all, and kids are not always the most logical beings in the world).

So, there are options that could make it a viable scenario. It is something I would like to see them address in the new season, though, and as we are apparently going to see him again we may get an answer to that issue.

I mean, seriously. Just before that scene with Sunburst we saw a future where everyone and everything was dead.
I’m not sure saying she’s an adult who never grew up is quite accurate. She’s an adult who is basing beliefs and opinions on a bad experience from her youth and drawing some wrong conclusions from that. It’s not an uncommon thing for any of us to do, and while it doesn’t excuse her, I think it at least gives her actions some much needed perspective. Plus, while we see the consequences of her actions through Twilight’s repeated travels through time, we don’t really get an indication she does. The spell always seems to pull her back from the true timeline, which suggests that she probably doesn’t have any idea what her actions are doing to the world. Again, I’d love to have a bit more detail on this, but we’ll see soon enough I imagine.

He saved her, but after he got his cutie mark, he forgot about her and then pushed her aside just to steal the spotlight from her and become the center of attention that day. That’s what make him an asshole.
I think you are forgetting a very important detail that the season finale stated outright.  
Starlight Glimmer: And just like that, my friend was gone. His family recognized his magical talent and sent him off to Canterlot. I never saw him again.
His family sent him away. They sent him away because his talent was sufficient to warrant special training by qualified teachers. That’s not exactly a worthwhile reason to dislike him, and kind of makes him seem less like a jerk and more like a kid whose parents wanted the best for him.

Starlight is the pathetic one, when it comes to her and Sunburst.
I’ve said it before, in other threads, but I actually felt bad for Starlight. Having a moment like that, where you forever associate getting a cutie mark with losing a friend, makes everything else about her character a lot easier to understand. Little things that affect us in childhood often have a profound influence on our thoughts and opinions later in life, and this is no exception. After all, as the finale outright stated…  
Starlight Glimmer: I stayed here and never made another friend because I was too afraid another cutie mark would take them away, too!
It’s true we don’t know all the details of her past, but the idea that she never had another friend after that because she was too scared she’d lose them too doesn’t exactly strike me as brat like behavior. She needed a friend. She needed support. She needed her own group of peers (like the CMC had) to lean on when things got bad. Given that she didn’t have that, is it any wonder she went down the path she did?

Plus, Twilight and Starlight didn’t stay to see the rest of her past. Maybe Sunburst was trying to look for her or something. Nevermind that Starlight didn’t necessarily move from that spot because weirder inconsistencies in cartoons happen within in ten seconds. One example being The World. lol

That was Starlight’s interpretation of it. It’s a problem many people seem to have. It’s called being a spoiled, egocentric brat.
 
Sunburst was Starlight’s best friend. In fact, he cared so much about her safety that he gave it his all to protect her, which is how he tapped into that power.  
He wasn’t stealing the spotlight, he was being praised for achieving something remarkable, while Starlight just kept sitting in the house for… reasons. She wasn’t happy that her friend got his cutie mark. She wasn’t even grateful for being saved. She just seemed to be bitter about the fact that in that moment, she was not the center of everybody’s attention, even though she did nothing to deserve it, and stopped trying to contact him.
 
Who knows, maybe Sunburst was angry at Starlight for being a terrible friend and expected an apology that never came, so he just decided to move on.

Steal the spotlight? Its not like they were performing a duet on stage and he kicked her in the arse off the stage. They were two kids pacticing magic and in the process of saving her he reached a new level in his development. Being a kid, its understandable that his excitement carried him away. The most he can be accused of is being oblivious.

I didn’t know being mad at somebody is a valid excuse to be an asshole, especially if your anger is completely unjustified, but it explains a lot.
 
“He is my very best friend, just saved me and has discovered his special talent! How dare he celebrate it and pursue his dreams!”
 
Seriously, he saved her. Why wasn’t she out there celebrating with everyone else? Why didn’t she write the guy?
 
That whole thing was so stupid and they’re not even letting us forget it ever happened…
