It only sounds that way if you specifically choose to interpret it that way, and that’s not even counting the fact that many homosexual couples have one or both members fitting said stereotypes because it comes naturally to them, not because they have an “unnecessary” fixation of heteronormative behavior. What if one of them ENJOYS dicking the other (with strap-ons or otherwise)? Would you tell them to stop just because it’s “heteronormative”? If they’re not hurting anyone or forcing the other to go along with it, then there’s zero problem with obeying heteronormative standards.
Yes, actually going through with the standard procedure for making babies can feel a lot more natural to many people than just going “poof”, and being pregnant.
I was talking about magical settings in general where a homosexual couple of either sex might want to have children without involving others, not just this one specifically. Why wouldn’t I think about that possibility, exactly? I was talking about reasons why they might do this option over the other, not the opposite. Many fan-fiction settings have one be possible via magic, but not the other, so it’s not like one being possible implies that the other is as well.
You say that it’s pathetic that he’s taking magical ponies (or humans) so seriously, yet you joined the discussion anyway. If you really believe what you said you shouldn’t even be here
Perfectly said.
All he said was that lesbian couples should be able and/or allowed to have children without one of them transforming into a man, in a setting where magical things like that are possible. That’s a perfectly reasonable amount of inclusiveness.
And you treated it like an act of war.
Holy shit buddy. Are you serious? Are you really taking magical ponies (or in this case, magical humans) so seriously? In no way or manner is one character in a homosexual relationship magically changing their gender to have a child at all heteronormative. Some people might put characters in gender roles, but for gods sake, not everyone puts characters into man or woman role. This is so fucking contrived it hurts. You are trying so hard to be inclusive, but it just comes off so incredibly stupid.
I’d rather slog behind than be in whatever imaginary world you live it. This is honestly just pathetic. I’m unsubscribing to this image now, just so I don’t have to read through more of your cringeworthy posts. I think you cut five years off my life span already.

LOL!!!
Yeah I’m ahead while you’re slogging sweatily behind.
This genderswitch idea sounds super similar in attitude to who is the “man” in a relationship and who’s the “woman”, even in a same-sex couple. It’s like one of them just has to be a guy at some point. Heternormative stuff is more than just not accepting other sexualities.
“ as close to natural” Natural?? One of them would have to grow a different chromosome spontaneously and change the skeletal structure. “magical sifting pot “ …There’s no pot, they’re not spitting into a bucket and then a baby jumps out.
“maybe magic can’t do that in the interpretation of said setting.” Maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about, because I know exactly that it can do that in this interpretation of the setting, since Hazurasinner explained it. Even if he didn’t I would still wonder why imagination would take you in one direction and not the other.
Just stop while you’re ahead, pal, you’re just embarrassing yourself.
I feel secondhand embarassment for you for using the SJW label. How can I even treat you seriously? Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question.
The war in this image started time ago with another theme
Well then, don’t get suprised when people star a “war”
What this guy said:
@Fwelin
Also, sure, whatever. But you sound exactly like those Tumblr SJWs. I feel secondhand embarrassment for you.
Avoiding heteronormativity involves accepting other sexualities, not purposefully avoiding anything that has to do with heterosexuality (including making children) just for the sake of the lesbianism being “pure”.
Perhaps they want to make the baby as close to natural as possible (while still having it only involve them), or maybe they think magicing up a baby by putting their genes into a magical sifting pot is creepy, or maybe magic can’t do that in the interpretation of said setting.

If you have magic and science and imagination, and your first solution for a kid is “durr one of them switches gender”, how is that not heteronormative? “Magic? Nah man, same gender still ain’t good enough. Magic must be used in a mundane fashion”.
No, I’m not from tumblr, I dislike social media.
“unnecessarily heteronormative”
That’s ridiculous. How is that heteronormative? They want a baby, so one of the two becomes the opposite gender in order to have the baby. They didn’t fall in love while the other was the opposite gender, so calling it “heteronormative” is just stupid.
You must be from Tumblr.
I repeat, this is a FREE site, and we can express us FREELY
I said forget it!!
“Did you two even think about them getting a sperm donor” First of all, eww, and secondly that misses the point of shipping. Just no. In a magical setting we have straight up magic for that.
“one of the parents were turned into the opposite gender” Now THAT is damn lazy and unnecessarily heteronormative.
Then DON’T Comment
