Emerald says that maybe he can get a regular one and craft it into a cool one himself, as sort of a rite of passage thing.
 
“Oh, I suppose, but that’d be down the line a little bit. You don’t just go making extra-dimensional spaces in your clothes in less than a month of studying magic, lil’ perv.” Joyride says with another grin, “Speaking of which, give me my mantle back.
 
Emerald reluctantly takes it off and hands it to Joyride. Joyride stands up from her card game and quickly changes back into it and stuffs her mage armor back underneath it, causing the armor to disappear.
 
Emerald asks how hard it is to get mage armor like hers. That seems like it’d be useful.
 
“Well… Mine is a bit different from the stuff you are likely to find nowadays. Depending on what you are looking for you can buy a robe with a decent protection spell for cheap.” Joyride says.
 
Emerald gives Joyride a quick hug, and says that he is happy that nothing happened, at least to either of them, and that Ruby got off alright.
 
“Yeah. Just imagine if that pistol shot had been lower and a few feet to the right. Would have got you straight through the head!” Joyride says, giving him a flick to the forehead.
 
Emerald instinctively rubs his head, and tries not to think about it.
