Ever since a young age, Rainbow Dash wanted to be like her father. Strong, fast, dependable and loyal. Her father made his name known within the Strikerbolt, a special forces squad of Pegasus warriors, and Rainbow Dash knew where her place was as soon as she heard about them. A pegasus’ service in the military was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and Rainbow Dash was not going to miss a moment.
 
For every day, and for every night, Rainbow Dash kept her eye on the future, when she will become 20 years old and become a recruit. There she would prove her worth to her Nation and become a Strikerbolt. She practised and honed her skills, eventually being able to excel in nearly any flying exercise, and became one of the fastest flyers within her peer group.
 
On the eve of her birthday, Rainbow Dash strode up to recruitment table and put her name down. She was confident. Her life would continue on its straight course. Straight as an arrow. No pony would get in the way of her goals.
