You’re right. I suppose a better example would be Mirrodin block, which was still dumb even without Skullclamp. The current sets are generally much more balanced.
Yeah, but they banned half the cards from Urza block. Not the best example of Wizards’ preferred power level.
Have you ever looked at the cards from Urza block? Things aren’t nearly as powerful as they were.

I suppose I could see that. She does take to the mentor role well with the Crusaders.
Perhaps Esper? I definitely feel that she is blue aligned.
I’d say she definitely qualifies as a positive spin on white-black. She will protect the society she leads, but is willing to go to any lengths to do so. You know, like Teysa Karlov or Sunset Shimmer.
