I’ve been to several forums that focused on the DE exclusively, and from what the owners there say, the .50AE actually has less stopping power than the .44magnum. Just because the bullet is a higher caliber, doesn’t make it better. the magnum version actually has more gun powder.

Okay, I forgot that the baby desert eagle(made by magnum research and still has the desert eagle brand) used a different frame. But there’s still the .357 and .44 versions of the full size.

they dont make DEAGLE brand DEAGLE 9mm
 
 
their is little difference between the 44 and 50ea (from the looks of it, its not as big like 9mm/40sw USP to a .45acp, from afar may look the same but 45acp is thick frame and slide is larger. 9mm can be converted to 40 and vice versa but not 45acp or vice versa.

You forget that while it is comparatively slow, it’s one of the heaviest pistol rounds in mass production. The sheer force behind it will mushroom the bullet against armor, but it will feel like a damn fistload hit underneath.

Off the top of my head (and hopefully not outta my ass): a large, slow, and heavy round like the .50 seems like it would be less effective against armor since it would expend more energy mushrooming instead of piercing. It would probably break ribs and such pretty badly, though.

The .50AE is a pretty overpowered round for human targets unless they’re rocking body armour, but the Desert Eagle is supposed to be accurate (as pistols go) if you can control the recoil.

Personally I’m not a gun aficionado, I’ve just read that the .50 cal version is not very practical in the field. I think it’s mostly due to the heavy recoil which throws off your aim.

Well, another question is, is that one a .50? .44? 9mm?  
I don’t think it’s any more inaccurate than other handguns of the same calibre.
