I do believe it’s better off Spike finds something better to do than having crush on Rarity, Spike is a fricking dragon for god’s sake, surely there is much more interesting story potential for him.
You have to admit that whole thing with Rarity-Spike treatment (cold opening) and Rarity-Dragons argument (2-3 times in ep) is kinda left hanging. I thought this would be resolved in this episode, but no, looks like it’s just writer’s thing or something.
“Conspiracy theory”
I think the lady writers wanted to kill off the Sparity chemistry and make her look like somone who doesn’t think of Spike in high regards. That way the introduction of the dragon girl would be less invasive.
Rarity is all about proper names and titles. It’s hardly something to twist your panties over.
