I hope so…

I don’t mind that they don’t know everything, except what the writers need them to know for exposition. I’m perfectly fine with that. But I’m still waiting for Celestia to actually do something, specially when she says that she’s helping ponies all the time. Sigh.
 
At least now I know that Luna can do exposition too. Maybe Celestia actually will do something useful later in the season, like Luna did in the past, while Celestia was doing the exposition.

However, now that Spike and Ember are friends and the dragons are Equestria’s allies, I don’t think Celestia and Luna have much to worry about from the dragons now.

Probably have to deal with them alot more, whether they want to or not.

Why do I suspect that Celestia and Luna know a LOT more about dragons than their subjects do?

Not to mention I was surprised to see the Royal Sisters again so soon after the premiere, and back to their everyday appearance since we never saw them revert back from their Crystal Pony appearance like the rest of the Mane Cast.
 
Still, at least they have experienced seeing the Dragon Lord’s summoning several times before, so it was easy for them to identify it.

Not saying it’s a bad thing. In this case you need some quick background info to set up the story. At least is wasn’t an “As you know…” Those are pretty jarring.  
I just find examples of Mr. Exposition to be amusing.

Wonder what would’ve happened if Celestia and Luna had not been there when Rarity came in with Spike? Twilight try to contact them for help? Or check her library for something that can help?
