No one’s saying the opposite of that, though. This is fanart through shipping googles.

What people is saying is that Fluttershy and Discord could have had this conversation about trust and not be out of there, because due to their characterization and development, it feels logical. And not necessarily has to be in the romantic sense.

It can get toxic if you delve too much, so I get you.

That’s Discord second major fuck up. She might get more emotional seeing how he made a terrible first impression at the gala around her friends. She wanted Mane6 and Treehugger to befriend Discord and make him more accepted by everyone. To show every important pony (it was mostly royalty at the gala) that he can be trusted after Tirek incident. Yet he ruined the gala, almost banished an innocent pony and was on the brink of fighting with Mane5 and Princess until Fluttershy solved the conflict. Since she can’t be mad at someone who doesn’t understand friendship, she’s more sad and dissapointed at his antisocial behavior and lack of progress in his reformation.

fluttershy here seems to be way weaker than she appears in the show, she may be shy but she will hold her ground.

she only cried to discord when he actually betrayed her during the episode with tyrek.
there she had a reason to cry.
during the gala she had to act like “wtf discord?!”, that’s normal reaction between friends that fucks up due to some misunderstanding.

The art is set on tone with a dramatic scene in a comic, even reminds me a bit of one those old school shoujo manga from the 70’s-80’s. All in the aesthetic sense, of course. Looks pretty good, in my opinion.

And @Background Pony #562A has a good point. Stepandy’s art it’s amazing, but she does make the character’s OOC for her ship of preference’s sake (but well, that’s something standard for hentai artists and shipper artists in general, anyway). Here on the other hand, putting all the romantic implications this gives aside, Fluttershy talking with Discord about trust after those events it’s something that can be considered plausible.

I think it’s pretty good. I know the aim was more into romantic relationship, but they would probably reacted this way when it comes to them being 1 on 1 after the events. It’s more of a shows fault to ignore such emotional impacts on them as Discord’s betrayal and now also believing that she cares so little about him afterwards. They ignore it because they prefer comedy and gags rather than “soap opera”.

Damn. It would be nice if people could just enjoy lovely art and a nice comic without bringing shipping wars into this. Seriously, bringing up Dislestia vs. Fluttercord just seems really tenuous now.

Good because this comic is still more realistic version than Stepandy’s where she completely made characters OOC and bent their motivation for her ship even though entire episode was about their relationship. What Fluttershy said here actually might have happened later.

…
Good Point the last…
Who is Stepandy?
