Super hot cheerleader is the girlfriend of the popular douchebag jock. Nerd watches her from afar until the main story kicks in. Nerd saves cheerleader from a danger that he created. Cheerleader confesses her long time love for nerd, though it was highly unlikely in the first place. Douche jock just rolls with it instead of kicking nerd’s ass like a normal human being. Occasionally, nerd realizes his true love was his average-looking-but-still-somehow-hot friend.

I would say that I personally dislike Prince Blueblood more than I dislike Garble, and if I had time to kill I could try counting all of the Prince Blueblood ships.  
If Spike were to be shipped with Rarity or Sweetie Belle, and I wanted to ship Princess Ember with someone else, I’d ship her with Garble, especially if he could be redeemed out of the jerk role and become a likable dragon that’s worthy shipping with.  
Oh, and since Judacris said that this hug is awkward, I’m tagging it so~
