My thought if it doesn’t seem like it could realistically fit into the canon of MLP Equestria, then there’s no point. The tails are way too clunky, and having a non-sentient mind being on your butt seems stupid beyond compare. Just cut it off by the stem. At least Aquines make some sort of sense.
The point is a ‘unique species’ and you can own one if you pay money for it. It’s kind of like those old infomercials that offer a “rare one of a kind limited item that’ll increase in value!” but is none of that. There’s apparently a small community of this kind of thing across every fandom. Other examples are aquines and lava lamp ponies.
