A forced meme,Flutterhsy is not allowed to be scared anymore because she’s supposed to have developed therefore her character shouldnt show weakness of any kind since she had developed,gotta make her stoic in all situtation because that’s how character should be now

My guess is that it’s a different Manticore and a different breed, don’t forget the one from season 1 didn’t have any horns so perhaps the horned breed is more dangerous

My completely unjustified headcanon is that Trixie paid her for that reaction. After all, if the town’s animal expert is freaking out, then the danger must be legit.

also going for a more in depth opinion, theres a difference between fear and jumping, like i had a car crash a few years ago and now am super jumpy around cars. If a car drives near me and i didn’t see it, i jump out of my skin, yet once i get over the instinctual jump i’m fine around vehicles. I reckon it was like that, the roar just startled her and given some time to get together she’d be fine around the beasty

My theory:  
Fluttershy “tamed” the Manticore from Season 1 only because she knew the only reason it was enraged was because it had a thorn in its paw. Trixie’s Manticore clearly did not.
