I’ll pass thanks. Don’t have the money to spend $800 on a VR headset that I probably won’t enjoy using. I’ll stick with my mouse and keyboard.
Also, funny thing, Gamespot gave the Vive a lower score because they didn’t set the thing up properly. Even when the fucking manual told them exactly what to do. And did jack shit when people called them out for it.

Not what I meant.
I was talking about in game playable space like moving an analog to explore a world rather than having a space the size of that world.

It still wouldn’t be possible with the current hardware. The Vive is tracked by using IR “lighthouses” that send IR beams across your room, and the controllers/headset have IR detectors on them. There is a limit to how far apart they can be (manual says 5m, it’s more like 6-7m depending on conditions) before you start to lose tracking, and as it currently exists, there’s now way to expand your playspace with more lighthouses.

I wish my computer could handle the Vive, if it could I would totally be all over it. Alas, my top tier gaming rig has slowly acquiesced into a potato.

At least it can handle Dark Souls III on slightly above minimum settings with good framerate…

It cost £850 and it’s awesome (when I can get it away from Rainbow…).
