Disco Fever: She reminds me on a 80s Disco dancer with her clothes and mane style.
Pacific Glow: Her fur and mane has bright colors and she has glow sticks as cutie mark. And the term pacific is similar to the term pacifier (which she wears on her neck), but sounds better for a name.
Azur Velour: The name is given for her here in Derpibooru. The name fots to her mane color.
What do you say about the names?

She is called Flashdancer here on Derpibooru.
Well, nowadays it’s more symbolic and used as a fashion statement.
You can still call her Molly if you’d like. :)

Oh yeah, and I vote Flashdancer. Mixing the 70’s with the 80’s is a common mistake, but it’s one that really aggravates me. The 80’s WISH they could be the 70’s.

My name’s Joey, not “Mod”… Oddly enough, most people can’t figure that out.
At any rate, there’s probably a thread discussing it somewhere (on our forums, on /mlp/, somewhere, IDK). Vote on it, quit tag warring and whining because the tag you like is loosing.
Background pony names are a community decision, not the decision of OP or site mods.

In addition to being close, those numbers don’t regard the opinions of those outside derpibooru. I can tell you that /mlp/ is decidedly in favor of Molly.
Lol, anyone can with the “tag changes” button. I saw Ferrotter and vhs (probably you. Why are you going anon?) did almost all of them, except 3, I think. This one, one uploaded by Smudge_Proof that said “Molly,” and the most recent diaper one which used both.
Let’s let the mod see what the original uploaders’ choices were. Because I was monitoring new uploads in just about real time and saw for myself the original uploaders’ tags.
Calling on the mods because you’re losing? Nice.
Vote’s still either 7-4 or 10-7, depending on how you count it, Pacific Glow would be the one to lock.
Mod, please read @Ferrotter, and please note that some asshole has once again untagged all of the original uploaders’ tags and retagged with their own choice.

Agree with you on Azure. The name is actually nice and I’m glad there’s not a debate over it.
Actually, I just decided to look through every upload of this pony so far. It looks like you and this user (who is most likely #55DB, here) have added the “molly” tag to every one of these pictures except one, which was uploaded by Smudge_Proof.
So your “9 uploads” thing is just completely wrong.

Thank you. I guess we’ll just have to leave both, and she’ll be one of those characters with two names, at least for now, like Colgate/Minuette.
The thought crossed my mind, but people would confuse that tag with the name of the movie, hence adding the “R” at the end to make it a “pony name”: FlashdanceR.
