But then how would they lift the pan afterwards if the handle is flat against the floor? :S Remember: they’re working with hooves.
Design the pan so the handle is flat on the floor, where the pony can hold it in place with a hoof. The other hoof (probably with a handle strap for an Earth Pony) holds the broom.
I was thinking that too, but it becomes difficult when you take thumbs out of the equation.
