Actually, I rarely see anyone get in trouble for complaining about the spam. Still, it does prove my point that if we can't do anything about it, (what can we do? Make it against the rules to post "bad" art? Especially considering some on this site consider any and "ALL" Sonic pics, good or bad, as "bad art" and bash even the decent ones, or try to start arguments about the controversial series.I've seen some here even try to say Sonic fans shouldn't be allowed here, which is overkill.)
I've gotten away with making joking remarks on bad Sonic pics actually. (But being a casual Sonic fan myself, I just try to do it in a harmless manner, rather then go "Sonic fans shuld diez!" like some here have... That's usually what they get in trouble for, not for merely calling out the Spam fests as you claim.)
I think the reason they target bad/mediocre Sonic pics, is 'cause it's the easiest way to spam /troll Derpibooru, and provoke a reaction from some, sense we got quite a few Sonic haters, or ex-Sonic fans here who bare grudges against the series/fanbase. (Though, we have quite a few Sonic fans here too.)
The best way to end the Sonic spam fests is to ignore them, or try to convince the admins to keep track of the trolls doing it. Remember the old "Scootaloo chikkun face" spamfests? They died off, 'cause people began to ignore or filter them.
