Background Pony #D606
Its still weird to me when people say this (and what happened in Gauntlet of Fire) doesn’t make sense because magic. So? What exactly did people expect Twilight to do? Use her telekinesis to fling them around? Like she always does when faced with dangerous creatures? Oh wait. No, she never does. Even as an alicorn, she either flees or goes for the beams, which still only stun creatures sturdier than ponies.

To me its pretty clear she knows her limits better than us, which is why she apparently knows when a creature is strong/resistant enough for her telekinesis to be unnefective, unless its asleep of course.

It makes no sense that people have so much trouble with her being scared of Garble, and yet no one mentions how wooden wolves and rocky crocodiles also have the same effect on her. Consistency > Fan-wishing.
