It was camo’ed like the ground on the upper part and like the sky on the underside. Hence why Spitfire here is a solid colour on one side and camouflaged on the other.
I dare say the artist was going for a traditional WWII Spitfire color scheme.
While I have seen photos of blue Spitfires they were not as common.
It would, but world war two wasn’t exactly that far ahead in plane camo.
I mean, yeah a few did it, but the majority did things like this.
