Actually, when writing it (I’m CC not WD), we did contemplate the scene that eventually became the “Sweetie prompts Cheerilee to give the class The Talk” which Blueblood later has a good laugh imagining. Since Blueblood at that point made few bones about his many conquests, even to Sweetie, we wondered what would happen if Blueblood gave Sweetie an overly and unnecessarily detailed explanation of what he did when he went off to end the loop with “company.” Blueblood instead prompting Sweetie to find out on her own was funnier and developed more organically, though.
Sweetie’s artificially aged up body was also noted to be very beautiful, but it was again mostly played for comedy, in that her appearance was also out of alignment with her mentality, and she didn’t notice anyone hitting on her that night (mostly Vinyl though Soarin being Soarin in this continuity probably made a pass or two).
I don’t imagine there was ever anything but a platonic relationship between the two, though. Sweetie was too young (though after leaving she has compared other stallions to Blueblood it is meant to be more like a girl comparing a boy to a brother) and Blueblood was naturally protective of her since she was the only one to ever share the loops with him. Had they remained trapped in the loop for more than two years, like ten years, then maybe… but they’d be different characters by that point (moreso than originally that is).
