Pretty sure that was the point. It both shows his natural talent does lay in mane styling, as well as show his egotism(it’s his manestyle he puts on her) and his tendency to quit early and drop things as a mess rather than finish. It’s a neat little visual character beat.
Get her a necklace of white pearls and an apron to finish the look.
