The techy one could work, but the newest book where they make her the jerkiest of them all were something else too. All 3 of her lines in the movie were aggressive, and I like it as some sort of a continuation of that. She were a bully, but just like most bullies, she is actually a very little person and would instantly felt like a fish out of the water when fsced with situation she’s not used to, in this case, its a cheerful and friendly athmosphere of CHS. She’s being quiet on the outside, but were muttering about how this school suck and she wants to go home on the inside! Hehe

I sometimes feel like they have to include Twilight in movies and specials, since she’s the main character. It can sometimes be intrusive and I can already see Sci-Twi becoming a big player and stealing some of Sunset’s screen time… Ugh.

As for Sunny, hopefully she’ll make a return. Kind of wished they made a Equestria Girls series so we could expand upon them easier, but until then, I’ll hope for the next movie.

That in my opinion really brought the film down for me. Plus That Magic capture device was just “what” to me personally. I enjoyed Cinch, but I do feel she and Twilight got a little to much Screentime.

I actually love the idea of Sunny being a techy genius and I tend to go by that head canon.

The movie focused more attention on Sci-Twi and Cinch, which honestly, did hurt it a bit. While I did enjoy Cinch, Twilight’s ‘magic’ collector was… Well after the second or third time, I think a reasonable person would have put it away or something. Perhaps they could have done something else, like some of the Shadowbolts got a hold of it thinking its just a neat trinket or something so they could have some scenes.

I mean, the credits make it out like they would be rivals. I don’t think Twilight needed to be there, honestly. Sunny Flare could be the techy one, what with that techy armbad… Actually, that wouldn’t have been that bad.

They were minor antagonists. The problem is that we have five Shadowbolts AND principal Cinch. That makes 6 completely new antagonists to introduce and develop in one movie. Way too many to really give each one them enough focus, while also continuing Sci-Twi’s and Sunset’s stories.

For me it’s (gasp) Lemon Zest.(I love her but she is very very very overrated in my opinion but I digress)Sugarcoat and Sour were at best okay in screen time. I just really wished they’d at least concentrate on these five a bit more. I hate comparing them to the Dazzlings (especially because they’re not antagonists) but if RR could give three characters a chance to shine, there should’ve been no excuse why these five couldn’t get some attention in the FG.

Technically all five of them were. I love all five of them so much, but uhhhhh, all five got sweeped under a rug. Shame that all the scenes with them in it were the only scenes in the film I actually liked.
