(It’s Background Pony #C036 again) …yeah, sorry about that.  
I think what I am trying to say is that I would like to have the “no offense” joke for Starlight only for my own sake. I just feel like Starlight’s actions were way worse than Sunset’s and are more deserving of the “joke” than Sunset. But I’m probably entirely wrong since, most likely, both their actions are the exact same thing (minus the time travel).

I can certainly understand that, since you’ve apparently forgotten Sunset’s whole “enslave a high school to take into Equestria and serve as a personal conquering army”.

I feel that Starlight’s past should still be mentioned every so often. With Sunset, she unwittingly over powered herself to the point of madness. Starlight, however, was a very unstable pony who forced others into her cult (which could have been going on for years), and recklessly manipulated the timeline in a “revenge before reason” state of mind.
 
At least Sunset just destoried a wall and bullies on some high schoolers. Starlight, a skilled but relitively regular unicorn, forced a bunch of ponies into her cult and brainwashed them to follow her philosophy (again, possibly for years). Starlight was already insane enough without the help of magical overload.
 
Look, I’ve accepted Starlight’s redemption and her being the newest addtion, but with the way Starlight has been presented, it can be very easy to forget that she started a cult and messed with time recklessly.  
…or maybe I’m afraid that I might forget.
 
I don’t know. I just want to forgive, but not forget.
