Even though this is a 2 year old post I’d like to also note that the brony fandom is made up of every other fandom, that INCLUDES ANTI FANDOMS, especially anti-furry ones, so those guys have more reason to not like a diamond dog oc if its design isn’t close to the official look.

I don’t particularly think it’s a big deal if they say their anthro-dog’s a diamond dog, let them use their imagination, but it’s just nice to find ones that fit semi-in-cannon characteristics. It feels like they put in an effort to mix their styles with the diamond dogs features, but I still recognize the other artist’s hard work too.

If it is not obviously MLP related, like the appearance of a “Diamond Dog” being alone, not interacting with any of the characters from the show, it is just an anthropomorphic dog. Would you allow random anthropomorphic dragons, cows, and sheep be posted and say they are MLP art because we have seen them talk on the show? I didn’t think so. If they were conversing or in the same picture of a pony from MLP:FiM then it’s a different story, but not standing alone like these pictures are.

Well seeing as the mod said “if they say their OC is a diamond dog, it’s a diamond dog.” and they wont remove it. I should just start posting anthro dobermans and call them DD’s. that’s bullshit Wing, just because someone says it related doesn’t mean it is.

I agree with the OP, because that shit last week was fucking ridiculous, but his argument is crazy flimsy. All of the major characters on the show are anthropomorphic.
 
Drawing breasts on them, or changing the way their legs are designed, does not fall in the scope of them being generic furry characters that the artist just said was Pony (probably for more views). Those ones that went up a few hours ago do both of those things and those pictures are still recognizably Diamond Dogs.

Has anyone EVER EVER EVER considered the only reason there’s so much tension between furries/bronies is because bronies are the actual ones being dicks in this case
