Not to mention, so far Tirek and the Smooze are the only ones they’ve brought back in FiM, not counting Somnambula being mentioned in The Crystalling.
Continuing? When was the last time they did that purely for nostalgic appeal? Sometimes I feel that the fandom thinks they’re more important and have a greater impact than they actually are/do, and this is an example.

I’d rather there be new content, instead of continuing to recycle old stuff for cheap nostalgic appeal.
Google “Liev Schreiber Wants More Kid Friendly Roles”; it’s about 2 minutes of the interview mentioned in the EqD article, and though he doesn’t start talking about his MLP role until about 80-90 seconds in, it’s still worth watching the whole thing.
