Seeing as she killed two fish that were saying hi to her and then fed them to ferrets I doubt she would have qualms about using actual meat.
Took her a while to get the formula right since she doesn’t taste it herself but Harry and the others seem to like it.
Also a human in Equestria probably would have to turn to Fluttershy or somepony else in a similar line of occupation in order to get the protein they need.
