Billy Mays died 7 years ago. Bob Ross died 21 years ago. Plus he was a huge pop-culture icon. That makes it a little different.

You can do that kinda thing in fan art all day, but as soon as it hits the mainstream media, it runs a heavy risk of kicking up controversy.
Mainly about using a dead celebrity as a cheap way to get views. Never intentional, always assumed.
