Twilight really does look like shes constantly on the verge of tears in this one. Possible war is some very scary stuff.

I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but the way Twilight is drawn in these comics a lot of the time makes it look like she’s on the verge of just bursting into tears. Especially here. She’s got that look like all it would take is seeing a filly accidentally drop their ice cream cone on the sidewalk for her to lose it completely and just cry uncontrollably over the meaningless cruelty of life.
 
I’m kind of leaning towards subtle brilliance, given the way these comics usually run.

I wonder if Twi feels threatened Starlight is taking Spike away from her? That is my reasoning she didn’t mention Starlight.
