Might be the plan, we’ll see.
If they did other videos to go along with it, so that this first video is just there as a Recap of what the mane six are as characters, and then did a couple other “flash and pizazz” fight commercials, it’d be fine.
Toys next month/October. That’s all we know for now.
I think they approached it with a bit too much humor, but I would have shown more Changeling and Tirek fighting yeah.
yeah, but this commercial was more of a “recap” of FIM than a real attempt to sell it as an action series.
Its not really going to grab kids who aren’t already fans of it; the rainbow and nightmare moon are pretty generic, and they don’t sell it as an epic adventure angle.
I’m just saying, if there attempt is to say “This isn’t your 80s mlp, its cool and filled with boy friendly adventure and fighting!” they failed. The Leadups to S5 with the mane six promos felt more epic than this.
Well they did show some of the cool stuff.
You’re trying to sell the toyline and ponies as cool and epic here hasbro; this is basically a recap of FIM, you should be doing stuff like Tirek fighting twilight, or do what the hub did and talk about dash tearing holes in the sky with her sonic rainboom.
Sounded almost like Tara.

I think they use this voice for toys sometimes.
The voice sounded nothing alike!
