If your main gripe with the sequels was a lack of resetting, Starswirl, or the whole debacle with the Elements of Harmony vs. then Hard Reset 2: Reset Harder might actually be up your alley. It mostly sticks with the whole Twilight vs. Chrysalis and her changelings schtick that made the original great. That said it uses time loops a lot more heavily than its predecessor and that’s saying something. Horizon has this little blurb in the description for a reason:
I’ll say this though, for all the god damned looping it doesn’t really get confusing until just about where horizon left off, and a brief skimming of the Cliff’s Notes was more than enough to clarify everything.
