Free thinking is the best way to live!
“a goddess or demigoddess who doesn’t believe in gods.”
You do not know what faith means. You don’t need faith to know that gods exist, you just need eyes. Twilight can see and scientifically prove that she and Celestia exist. Everything Godly in their world is actually REAL thus science works together with miracles and magic.
Science always works on the truth, whereas faith works on anything regardless of truth. Twi is 100% correct. The only thing you should put faith in, is friends. Because unlike God, they will actually be there for you.
I’d say having more power than the others doesn’t mean divinity, but I’ll freely admit it’s a purely semantic argument.
Like I said that’s where it’s ironic. Think about it: a goddess or demigoddess who doesn’t believe in gods.
Well, we don’t see her making any claims about the princesses in this picture, only about the nature of truth vs faith. In Feeling Pinkie Keen, Twilight is completely canon. If that, to you, makes her an atheist, then I’d say her atheism is canon.
They’re pretty damn close. So it is quite ironic.
It’s never really specified that they’re goddesses; that’s just a fanon thing. They are, of course, among the most powerful entities proven to exist in Equestria. This does not, however, make them divine.
Wouldn’t be the first time otherwise intelligent people have relied on the ‘aliens did it’ explanation.
I always knew it was ancient aliens.
And apparently it’s just to hard to suspend judgment and have no beliefs about grey things at all?
That’s brown. Or purple if you’re playing a bullet hell.
At least, they are in FPS games.
Most things in life are grey.
