I assume you’ve seen “The Fly”?

You know I will never really understand why this kind of thing is surprising to some people in this fandom. Celestia is an over 1000 year old ruler of a kingdom which she had to do alone for a majority of that time. The fact that she has some secrets and knows things about an alternate world that one of her former students escaped to should not shock anyone.
 
I mean honestly did people not suspect that Celestia might keep an eye on Sunset Shimmer? Therefore knowing a lot of stuff about the world she went too. In fact I personally think this is a big bit of character development for Celestia; think about it, she clearly keeping an eye on Sunset (hench why she knew what she did about the Human mane 5 attending the school but not Sci-Twi) but she let Sunset stay where she wanted and learn and grown on her own instead of dragging her back to Equestria.

I’m pretty sure the cartoon could have come up with more excuses for why they couldn’t shove the entire mane 6 though the portal at once, but whatever.

That’s actually a good point.
