Considering the finale, it would be possible as a politically arranged marriage between Equestria and the Changeling Kingdom. And yes, the respective ages of the bride and groom could vary wildly. Anyone who has played Crusader Kings can attest to that.
 
And that’s not to say anything… Unspeakable happens - The marriage ceremony would wait until after Flurry Heart is of age.
 
I’d have to read some future fics to see what sort of personality Flurry Heart gets as she ages before I can say with certainty of my stance on the ship though.

Now that I think about it, shipping these two is actually better than the Twilight thing.  
In Twilight’s case, Stephanie Meyer clearly pulled the “accelerated aging” thing out of her ass for no reason other than to give Jacob someone to screw after he lost Bella.  
In this case, there’s never been a natural born alicorn, so the writers have license to make this shit up if they want to. Plus, it wouldn’t just be for the ship’s sake, as I’m sure a baby growing into an adult in the span of a few years, or even months, would lend itself to a lot of great new stories.  
I totally want accelerated aging to happen in the show.
