Well, it kinda was similar to SMG, but granted Sonic kinda did the whole “gravity gimmick platformer” first taking “Sonic & Knuckles’” Death Egg stage, SA2’s “Mad Space” level, and the cancelled “Sonic Extreme” into account.
 
Yeah, hope “Mania,” and that other new game will be good, and give Sonic some respect again. I’d hate to see the series become forgotten like Banjo Kazooie, or Megaman. (At this point, Sonic is way more alive then they are.)
 
How can “Shadow the Hedgehog” be “racist” if the hero himself is black? :P  
X-Play is dead now, so their opinions don’t really matter either. Ironically, the show used to be good, and give “controversial” games the benefit of the doubt. Like back before “Windwaker” came out, and people were bashing it for it’s toon/cel-shaded style graphics calling it “Celda,” “kiddy,” and such, X-Play actually defended it. (Or am I thinking of a different show?)
 
Yeah, fan reviewers while not always reliable seem less biased. JonTron riffs on Sonic sometimes, but admits he still loves the series regardless.

Well,I agree with you that Lost World is not that bad and I just ignore some people said that its a Mario Galaxy clone/ripoff.As for Mania and Project 2017,I think Sega is just playing it safe and I dont care what people says that Mania is just a rehash or something I’m just glad that the classic style gameplay is back.Project 2017,we didn’t know what the game is all about yet all we know that Modern and Classic Sonic team up again and a tagline at the end that says ‘Join the Resistance’.And Mania in my opinion is the real Sonic 4.  
And I forgot to tell you that X-Play is one of the sonic haters.That bald,racist,piece of s**t Adam Sessler calls the Shadow the Hedgehog game racist because the enemies were black aliens.And this show is also infamous for their hatred of RPG’s like the critically acclaimed Crisis Core for example they give it a 2/5.  
And I also forgot to tell you the critically biased Sonic game which is Sonic Unleashed HD.They thought its an inferior version while the Wii/Ps2 version is the superior one.I also stopped relying on reviews because of the Sonic bias and IGN’s treatment of Kingdom hearts.First they give it a so called rewind trailer thing,calling Roxas (a character from Kingdom Hearts 2)a garbage character that no one cares about,KH2.8 is so dissapointing according to them,and saying that the whole series sucks.All of the game reviewers sucks you know what from now on,let’s just listen to some unpaid,honest reviewers on YouTube like some call me johnny,jontron,etc.

I honestly don’t pay much attention to reviews/critics. I prefer to come up with my own opinions.
 
I actually did get “Sonic Lost World” for 3DS recently, and it’s actually not that bad. Hopefully, “Sonic Mania” looks like it might quell the hatred a bit, or perhaps just enforce that Sanik fanboy purist ideal that only “old style Sonic games are good.”

And Destructoid.Remember their Sonic Colors review?Ugh that fat f**k deserves to die.Anyways I agree with you about the Sonic franchise have ups and downs I like it.Now that’s what I call an honest opinion.I mean yeah the series has failures like ShTH,Sonic 06,and recently Sonic Boom (but Fire and Ice is a good Sonic Boom game honestly).And one question,how did you know about Gaygar13vids?

Well, like I said, I think that’s just a “character” he does just to troll, or piss people off, but regardless doesn’t make him any less annoying, and cringe. Or perhaps he just likes being a contrarian, and he’s not worth giving attention.
 
As for IGN, they actually did give some Sonic games decent reviews/scores, but yeah the “Sonic was never good video” was overkill. It is basically just more typical, trendy, geeky, Sonic-hate, bandwagon propoganda. Even those who only like the older games were mad about it, as it was kinda an insult to the series, and fans. Despite the series ups & downs, it’d be like doing that to Mario, Megaman, or another beloved classic character.
 
“Game Informer” are pretty bad about the hedgehog-hate too, they even rated “Sonic Generations” as low as they did Sonic2006. (Though, even those who disliked Generations admit it wasn’t as bad as that game.)

Yeah me too I don’t care for that idiot/hypocrite and he’s not the only Sonic hater.IGN with their Sonic was “never good” video then after the major hate/backlash, theyre exited of sonic again and guess what?Marty fing Sliva from sonic was never good video returned.Anyways,back to the Gligar13,why I say he’s a hypocrite?He hates Pokemon, yet he faps to Pokémon porn.And he also did a “rant” against us well I really didn’t watched the video but I think he was jabbering about bronies and pegasisters were just watching the show to fap to our fave ponies.And I saw the description of the said video Mary Sue? r34? Wtf? Not all of the fans of this show around the world were doing that.And he also hates the critically acclaimed games like LOZ:OOC,Metal Gear Solid,Kingdom Hearts (he hated it because Disney and he’s one of those FFVI or FFIV fanboys and uh no offense if you’re one of those guys),Sonic games (Sonic CD is his only favorite),Pokemon games (even though his pic is Lucario and his name is from a fing Pokemon),Mother 3.Yes.MOTHER. F***ing.3,etc.And his nose ugh god his nose.IT WAS FRICKING HUMONGOUS!He is the worst troll ever existed on YouTube (alongside DSPGaming which is a terrible LetsPlay channel).
