Brave and the Bold Batman is one best versions of the character IMO.
I can see her as Clark Kent, but I can also see AJ paralleling Batman/Bruce Wayne pretty nicely too. Actually, AJ fits very nicely with any of the DC Big 3 (SM, BM, WW ). Modest, mild-mannered, but fierce and steadfast in her virtues.
And just because you may have tons of family, or even dependants, doesn’t mean you can’t hide loneliness very well.
Robin Williams said something to that effect: I was wrong about lonliness being the worst thing. The worst thing is being around others and still remain lonely.
